Let the Revolution Begin!

Viva la Revolución!  It's time to take back what rightfully belongs to us, the Halo Nation.  We will no longer be oppressed by the overlords of baseball information (ESPN) and their nightly propaganda broadcast (Baseball Tonight).  Mainstream media will cover the overthrow of the baseball world.  Although, many feel we are the elitist class because of our impressive record, we will prove to the masses that our dominating pitching and our imposing line-up are ready to take center stage in the baseball world.  No longer will we sit idly by while the propaganda machine spews out its nightly misinformation and half-truths of Red Sox and Yankee superiority.  We will be led by courageous and respected men, willing to sacrifice their individual statistics for our cause by hitting behind the runner, taking an extra pitch, laying down a bunt, taking the extra base and powering the ball to unreachable distances.  The peoples' confidence lies with respected men such as El Presidente Guerrero, the Hula Dula Domino Rula Torii Hunter, newly enlightened Mark Teixeira and the rest of their band of ball playing brothers.  The people have the right to know that baseball has a new leader.  Our ascendancy to the top of the Power Rankings proves the time is now.  The time for action.  The time for a Red October.

Daily Notes:

• Brandon Wood is killing the ball in AAA.  He's hitting .392 with 13 home runs in his last 21 games.  Apparently he's learned what a strike is, shown by his increased walk total during the past month.
• There were rumors the Angels put in a claim on Orioles' relief pitcher Chad Bradford.  Bradford eventually eneded up with the Tampa Bay Rays for a player to be named.  The submariner Bradford is having a nice season out of the bullpen and would have been a good addition to the Angels' roster.
• According to the Orange County Register, Torii Hunter is doing his best to sell soon-to-be free agent Mark Teixeira on signing with the Angels this off-season.  "I'm going to wine and dine him, let him see the OC, a little bit of L.A.," Hunter said. "I'm just going to speak good about the place, point out how nice the weather is. You can tan naked if you want."
• The Angels' Magic Number to clinch the division is 37.  Their Magic Number to clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs is 47.
